Record new temperatures are being predicted by experts as Ireland enjoys mini heatwave and Met Eireann is forced to issue a high temperature warning
Record breaking temperatures could be on the cards on Friday, with experts predicting the mercury could soar to as high as 30C.
Speaking about the latest expected temperatures, Alan O'Reilly, from Carlow Weather took to Twitter to warn: "The latest Met Éireann HARMONIE model update is also showing the all time high temperature record for September could be broken on Friday. It comes as Met Eireann issued a status yellow weather warning from Thursday until Saturday for high temperatures.
The national meteorological service warns of potential impacts such as heat stress, uncomfortable sleeping conditions and risk of water related incidents.
