Ireland weather: Met Eireann offer glimmer of hope amid week-long rain onslaught as warning issued
Met Eireann has offered a glimmer of home in next week’s forecast amid what’s expected to be a washout week.
It is in effect for Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Dublin, Kildare, Longford, Louth, Meath, Westmeath, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo. In contrast, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday all have mentions of rain and showers, with some days experiencing heavy rain and localised flooding. Tuesday seems to offer the most favourable weather conditions with sunny spells and less rain compared to the surrounding days.
“Monday will be a day of sunny spells and scattered light showers with plenty of dry intervals. Some of the showers may turn heavy, most likely in the south and southeast, but they will become isolated in the evening. Highest temperatures of 15C to 20C, coolest in the north and northwest with light to moderate northwest breezes.
