The warning comes just as the weather was beginning to improve over the long weekend.

Another warning has been put in place for all beaches in north Dublin as a result of increased bacteria following heavy rainfall. "Bathers are advised of the possibility of an increase in the levels of bacteria in the bathing water over the coming days due to very heavy rainfall. Beachgoers have been warned not to ingest the water and are advised to avoid swallowing or splashing water.
