The report by property start-up Geowox noted that rural homes were still experiencing “strong and robust” price growth, rising by 16.7 per cent year-on-year.
Counties Laois, Longford and Tipperary were found to have experienced the sharpest annual increase in prices, ranging from 16.8 per cent to 22 per cent.
Of the State’s main towns, Greystones-Delgany registered the sharpest decline in prices with median values falling by 15.4 per cent, “making it the town with the most substantial decline”. In contrast, Roscommon emerged as the town with the sharpest increase in prices .
