Met Eireann have warned that a thunderstorm is due to cause potential spot flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions due to heavy rainfall in nine counties.
The general forecast for the entire country says that it will be a mixed bag when it comes to the weather for the foreseeable. Moving into tonight, showers and some thunderstorm activity will become more isolated early in the night before another wave extends from the south over the southern half of the country later in the night gradually merging to longer spells of rain.
