A man his 20s has been arrested after reports he was seen with a firearm on a train going to Cork yesterday evening.
The man was searched by Gardaí and found to be in possession of what is believed to be an imitation firearm.The suspected firearm is due for technical examination and investigations are ongoing.
The man is currently being detained at a Garda Station in Tipperary under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.
