There’s a new show on the way!
Love Island’s Summer series has come to an end after a rather dramatic 10 weeks in Majorca and it seems we will have to wait till next summer for our fix as the winter series of Love Island will not be taking to our screens this coming January. According to MailOnline the Winter season has been cut again after low ratings. This is the second time the ITV bosses have axed the show.But, don’t worry, it seems we will have a Love Island spin-off to fill the void. Rumours of an all-star series have been rife over the last few months and it seems it’s coming our way as a replacement for the winter series this coming year. Yes, you heard that right, a brand new dating show called All Stars is set to take its place, airing in early 2024.
The first winter series of the hit reality dating show took place in 2020, but was cancelled in 2021 due to low ratings. They decided to return the winter series to our screens when Maya Jama took on the hosting gig. There were hopes that Maya would help boost ratings however, the viewing stats remained low for the winter series, reportedly forcing ITV bosses to shake things up for 2024.
