Ireland's World Cup preparation is under way, and thousands of fans came out to greet the players at their training base in Tours.

Thousands of fans came to see the Irish rugby team be put through their paces at an open training session one week before the beginning of the Rugby World Cup.

The players, decked out in full Rugby World Cup attire, looked absolutely delighted as they soaked in the adulation of the adoring crowd. A statement from the World Cup organisers read: “The pitch at the Cher Valley stadium suffered some damage in recent days, caused by a fungus.
