The Government are currently deliberating on the measures they will roll out to the public in Budget 2024, with the announcements to be made next week.
However, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that throught tax cuts and once-off payments he is aiming to put €1000 back in the pocket of the average Irish worker, and that he would like to see improvements to the Increase for Qualified Child payment.“I am pressing to have as generous a tax package as we can, it’ll be a combination of income tax and USC,” he told the Irish Independent.
