"If it's not going to show up tell us that, and if it's cancelled you need to be informing your customers that the services are cancelled."Another caller, Anna, said she has had to walk home from college after waiting almost an hour on a no-show bus."If you miss one bus there won't be another one [for] an hour."Especially on rainy days as well they'd be packed; they wouldn't even stop for some people to get on.
"I think the driver shortage now is jeopardising the sustainable transport policy of the Government," he said."BusConnects has - and is - improving the services, in that it is putting on more buses where it's implemented. "They're losing drivers to other sectors, and this has been going for years and it hasn't been resolved.
