Emmerdale fans were quick to point out Lloyd's wife Julie's downfall on Tuesday's episode as she threatened and intimidated Amelia Spencer in the village. Fans will recall that Amelia's dad, Dan Spencer, recently landed himself in serious trouble with the law after he punched his daughter's online stalker, Lloyd, which has resulted in the latter being left in a coma in hospital with a serious head injury.
Soap watchers were quick to point out Julie's error of threatening Amelia in front of a witness, Victoria, as they could report her to the police to help in the case against Dan, who has been arrested and charged over Lloyd's injuries.Taking to Twitter, one person said: "Verbal threat in front of a witness! Call the police! # Emmerdale " A different account put: "That’s a threat, if I was Amelia I’d go to the police… #emmerdale.
In upcoming scenes, Dan, who has been arrested and charged over the incident, heads to court and pleads guilty to the charges against him. Worrying about her father's future and the serious prison sentence he could face if Lloyd dies, Amelia suggests they go on the run to Ireland in order to stay as a family. Seeing his daughter's fear and being overwhelmingly scared of prison, Dan comes round to the idea of running away and he asks Cain Dingle for help fleeing the country.
