RTÉ's David Tubridy was shocked when he received the call to be part of The Sunday Game punditry team this season.
Two fellow banner man, Anthony Daly and Marty Morrissey, who are no strangers to TV and radio reached out to him to dish out some advice and offer their support before the championship kicked off in May.David told RSVP Live: "I am shocked more than anybody."It is a great experience and you have to take the opportunities when they come along. I said I would try it out and if it doesn’t last long I will still see how it goes.
He said: "I got two phone calls from two Clare people. Anthony Daly called me and he told me how to go about things."Marty Morrissey also called me, which was great, and he said to just give him a phone call if I had any bit of bother. It is great having those two men behind me."
