The comedian and star of The Savage Eye didn’t appear on RTE’s The Late Late Show during Ryan Tubridy's 14-year run, with David giving a reason why this might be the case
David McSavage has reflected on why he didn’t receive an invite to The Late Late Show from his cousin Ryan Tubridy.
“He was probably fearful and he was right to be fearful because I probably would have said something personal like, "Do you love w**king,” he told the Irish Independent.“I think he saw a through line between him and The Tonight Show in the US and a lineage to the likes of [American talk-show host] Jack Paar.
David has spoken out in support of his cousin and shared that he thought Ryan was thrown "under the bus" or "used as a scapegoat".
