As he closes in on a return to fitness, the first choice hooker says that Ireland must hit the ground running at the finals
Dan Sheehan says he is excited to get going at France 2023 after fearing he could miss out due to the foot injury he picked up against England.
"Yeah, delighted, bit of a worry last week coming off the pitch," said Sheehan, who came off before half-time in the England game 10 days ago. Sheehan was speaking to Irish Rugby TV at the squad's kitting out day ahead of their departure for Tours, where they will be based for most of the tournament, on Thursday.
“We have a few days off to chill out, spend time with family and friends before we leave on Thursday, an exciting few days."
