Coscoran broke his own Irish 1500m record with a sensational performance at the Silesia Diamond League meeting earlier this season, finishing fourth in a world class field in 3.30.42. "To be honest, whenever it comes to times and world champs sometimes that comes into factor, other times it is just sheer racing ability - and I feel that I am a very competitive racer.
"I feel like my performances over the last two years have really given me confidence in my own ability," said the 31-year-old. "So, I’m looking forward to toeing the line because it is probably the most excited I've ever been for a championship."
