The warning comes into effect tomorrow evening
A Status Yellow weather warning has been issued for 10 counties and will come into effect tomorrow evening.
The warning comes into place at 6pm on Thursday, September 14, and will remain valid until dawn on Friday, with Ireland's national forecaster warning people in the affected counties to anticipate the risk of localised flooding as "outbreaks of rain will push up from the south and be persistent."While Thursday will begin with mostly dry conditions and potentially some sunny spells, the weather will take a turn for the worse into the afternoon.
"Heavy persistent rain is currently expected to move up from the south, bringing possible flooding; extensive low cloud and mist. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees, in light northerly breezes."
