Wicklow mum of two Kelly Barnes is fighting an aggressive form of cancer after she says she was sent home from her doctor multiple times.
Kelly, who had already overcome lung cancer in 2017, decided to travel to Spain to undergo what she thought would be gallbladder removal but upon arrival, she was told she was suffering from an aggressive form of cancer.After the cancer had spread across multiple organs including her liver, bowels, adrenal glands, and lungs, she underwent an intensive 12 rounds of chemo where they thankfully managed to stop the spread.
“Kelly will continue in their care where she will be treated with immunotherapy and has been put in palliative care. The cost of this treatment, excluding the price of flights and accommodation, is €10,000 for two weeks.
