One weather expert has warned that current models indicate that a possible storm on Friday may be on the cards
Unfortunately, initial forecasts have suggested that the month ahead may bring some heavy rain with it - starting with a potential storm this Friday.
While there may still be sunny spells as the weekend progresses, as it stands, models are showing "some strong gusts and plenty of rain" for Friday night. In a follow-up tweet under the first, he continued: "First two weather model updates rolling out and both ICON-EU and ARPEGE have storm right in over Ireland Friday night with some strong gusts and plenty of rain.Met Éireann has released a forecast that warns Friday night will be the worst part of the weekend but that Saturday and Sunday will see some sunny spells.Friday Bright to begin on Friday with hazy sunny spells and isolated showers.
Brighter and drier conditions with scattered showers in the west will gradually extend to all parts by the early afternoon. Moderate to fresh and gusty northwest winds will moderate by early afternoon. Highs of 15C to 18C.
