New research outlines challenges plaguing tourism sector, which is has yet to fully recover from pandemic restrictions
Visits to tourist attractions in Ireland were at just 58 per cent of pre-Covid levels in 2022, according to new research by the Association of Visitor Experiences and Attractions .
A survey by the industry body found that 13.3 million people visited an attraction in Ireland last year - up substantially on the 4.3 million in 2021, when Covid-19 restrictions were still in place, but down from 22.9 million in 2019.
