McGregor is currently in training for his UFC comeback, expected to take place later this year against Michael Chandler.
Both the UFC and Miami Heat released statements on Thursday after Conor McGregor denied claims he subjected a woman to a violent sexual assault in a men’s toilet in America.
Both the Miami Heat and UFC have released statements regarding the alleged incident, declaring that they won't be commenting further until the legal process has reached its conclusion. The fighter's attorney Barbara R. Llanes released a statement which read "The allegations are false. Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated.”
A statement released by the UFC read: "The organisation is aware of the recent allegations regarding Conor McGregor and will continue to gather additional details regarding the incident. UFC will allow the legal process to play out before making any additional statements." He left Miami for New York in recent days where he has been appearing on television talk shows to promote his new Netflix series and reality show The Ultimate Fighter.
