Tourist savagely assaulted had 'saved every penny' for trip of a lifetime to Dublin

The sister of an American tourist savagely assaulted in Dublin has told how he had been “saving every penny” for his trip of a lifetime to Ireland.

“He had always dreamed of visiting Ireland. He was trying to trace our family that emigrated to the US from Dublin.” “He has two sons Michael and Jesse... I didn’t worry about my little brother visiting Ireland, as he’s been a long-time traveller.” “I understand that he may lose one of his eyes and suffer lifelong disability from this... Thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.”No arrests have been made, though a 14-year-old male is among those identified as a suspect.
