While Budget 2024 isn’t expected to be announced until October, Minister for Social Protection, Heather Humphreys, has already confirmed several changes starting next year
Minister for Social Protection Heather Humphreys announced a series of landmark reforms to the State Pension system in Ireland.
The date you first started to pay PRSI is known as your date of entry into insurance. Your date of entry into insurance is also important when you calculate your yearly average number of PRSI contributions. If you reached pension age between 6 April 2002 and 5 April 2012, you needed to have 260 full-rate contributions .
