Rupert, who is the brains behind the apartment-sharing site, says he will only charge his lodgers what they can afford.
Chatting about his idea to find two housemates, he said: “I’m offering the rooms on a ‘pay what you can afford’ basis. “I’m far more interested in finding the right people to share with, who I’ll enjoy having around and add something to my life, than maximising my rent”. This means that if you can only afford £1, that’s all Rupert would charge you and wait for it, the property itself is worth a princely three million pounds.
