None of Pauw's players have come out on social media to acknowledge their former boss.

Vera Pauw is now a week and half post the Ireland job and the news cycle has moved on to more pressing matters such as the Rugby World Cup and Ireland's Men's side's Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.

It is well known the breakdown in communications and relationships between Pauw and her players over recent months and so perhaps the blanket silence is no surprise. Most of Ireland's players are on social media platform X and many post on a regular basis. A quick trawl of each players account reveals zero posts relating to Vera Pauw in the time shortly before and since her removal as boss.

Captain Katie McCabe was asked ahead of Ireland's World Cup warm-up against France earlier this year if she would support Pauw staying after the tournament: “It’s not my decision to make, I’ve spoken to Vera before. We’ve been on a journey these past few years together.Megan Connolly in the Nigeria pre-match press conference said when asked about Pauw's future: “I can't really speak personally on that.
