An email dispatched from the headquarters of Croke Park to GAA clubs nationwide indicates that actions such as keeping, documenting, or sharing scores, organising competitions, blitzes, or events with elimination rounds, as well as distributing winner or runner-up medals, trophies, awards, or prizes, will result in the GAA taking strict action.

According to GAA.ie, "Children engage in Gaelic games for various reasons, such as having fun, playing with friends, and receiving encouragement from parents. However, a lack of enjoyment, a feeling of incompetence, and excessive focus on competitive outcomes are significant factors leading to dropout rates."
