The first-quarter results show a slight increase in market share for Tesco in Ireland
Tesco recorded sales of £714 million in Ireland in the first quarter of 2023, a 7.3 per cent increase from the same period in 2022.
The company’s UK operation, results for both are published together, performed even better with a 9 per cent increase in sales during the quarter. The business also cited growth in its catering sales to pubs and restaurants aiding the overall figures.
