Met Éireann has issued a Satus Yellow rain warning for Cork, Kerry and Limerick this evening.
The forecaster said there would be heavy rain in the counties from 11pm on Thursday until 9am on Friday morning.and Pearse Doherty of Sinn Féin has called on the Government to be swift in its support for local communities.
“Many of the community facilities took years to actually be replaced… Now it is time for the Government to step up and support… our hospitals, our creches, our businesses and our households.”“The OPW have a scheme in operation that has gone through planning and they’re telling us now they won’t do it until 2030,” she said.
