Onlookers couldn't believe their eyes when they saw the snake creeping up the front door of the Little Steps nursery in Drogheda, Co Louth
A runaway snake called Houdini caused absolute panic when it tried to get into a creche full of children.

The Gardai then helped and we got a bin and put the snake into it and then put the lid on top. He kept trying to get out but we eventually curtailed him."
The snake's owner, Colin Brennan, said he got the troublesome snake a few months ago. He said; "His owner in Dublin died and I was asked to take him. I have had my other corn snake for years.
