Higher education Minister says he would like to see €500 sum ‘significantly increased’ in next budget
The rent tax credit should be doubled, according to a Simon Harris, the Minister for Higher Education.
The current maximum value of the credit is €1,000 per year for jointly assessed married couples or civil partners and €500 in all other cases, including single people.It has been claimed by approximately 230,000 renters.
