Alright for some

As can be expected, the data released provides some fascinating insights into modern Ireland. For example, the 2022 Census marked the first time in 171 years that the country's population exceeded five million, with 5,149,139 people listed as being in the State when the poll was taken, an 8% increase since April 2016.Also, according to the 2022 results, the average age of the populace increased from 37.4 in 2016 to 38.

On top of this information, the Census results revealed that 16 people aged between 15 and 19 were listed as already being"retired" in the poll, despite their young age. Meanwhile, 78 people in the 20 - 24 year age bracket were also described as retired. You can see a table highlighting this particular data right here:As has been pointed out by some commentators, given that Census forms are filled out by one person in each household or property, these teenagers' retired status could just be the opinion of the person completing the poll.

Either way, we wish the 16 young people the best of luck in their retirement. We are not jealous at all.
