Gregor Townsend aims to send Scotland into World Cup battle against Ireland with a "fearless" attitude on Saturday night.
The Scots, ranked fifth in the world themselves after a good run of form, need to secure an eight-point winning margin to make the last eight. "There are two scenarios for us to get through, one is eight points and one is to score more tries. It suits how we would approach normal games which would be to aim to score tries when we are in the opposition 22.
"They are in great physical shape, they have been training really hard for weeks and months and I believe we have had enough experiences now, both good and bad, to handle this occasion - the ups and downs of a Test match, the physicality, the intensity and the accuracy which will be needed this weekend.
"We are well into the World Cup now. We have had three games, seen the stadiums, the opposition - it's not new. It's a game against a team we know very well and we know their players very well having played against them in the URC, in Europe, once a year in the Six Nations.
