Ryan Tubridy shared that he was surprised by Christy Dignam’s condition during their last visit together.

Ryan spoke with Kathryn after the visit and he recalled her saying: “He was the strongest he’d been in a long, long time in that interview. It was like he was conjuring up that energy to say to you, to say to people listening to the show and beyond, ‘I want to say thank you. I want to tell you how important you are to me. I want to tell my family how important they are to me’.”The former host of The Late Late Show stated that while his passing was “inevitable” it is “never easy to hear”.
“But it is the nature of the job… that you do become friendly with people. I remember it must have been 10 years ago when Christy was due to come in on the TV show for one of his many appearances.
