RTE's Director General Kevin Bakhurst says discussions are 'complex'
Ryan Tubridy’s future at RTE will be decided in a matter of days – as the broadcaster says he wants to "reestablish trust with staff and colleagues".
The former Late Late Show host welcomed the report’s "fair" findings, adding that he is "committed to re establishing the confidence and trust of my colleagues and listeners." It also found that an exit fee of €120,000 that he was entitled to was waived by the now-former Late Late Show host. "Finally, I want to acknowledge the huge support that I have received in recent weeks from people across the country; many cards and letters, greetings on the street and words of support from people I bumped into meant an awful lot to me and I appreciate them all very much."
