RTÉ Director General Kevin Bakhurst has announced that he is commissioning an external review of RTÉ's voluntary exit schemes in 2017 and 2021.
RTÉ was before the Public Accounts Committee yesterday, where the topic of the voluntary exit packages were raised.RTÉ has not said who left under voluntary redundancy schemes over the period. In a statement issued to the Irish Independent, a spokesperson for RTÉ said: “RTÉ's Director-General Kevin Bakhurst has decided to commission an external review of RTÉ's voluntary exit schemes .
The new Director General also went before the Oireactas Public Accounts Committee this week and gave an update on Ryan Tubridy and his contract. Ryan has been off air since last month.
