The young driver attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended after a short persuit
A Limerick motorist who sped through the city on a powerful Yamaha Banshee quad-bike has been apprehended following a foot pursuit by gardaí.
Although he attempted to flea on foot, the dangerous driver was eventually nabbed following a pursuit with his vehicle being seized. He was charged and is due to appear in court later on in September. This particular vehicle was reportedly previously registered in the UK and was at one point in its life used by a midlands construction company, however, it eventually passed along to a Limerick motorist who had previously been banned for road traffic offences, according to Cork Beo.
A spokesperson for gardaí said in a post on social media: “Gardaí from Henry St intercepted this quad bike being driven recklessly in Limerick city on Monday.
