The movie will be written and directed by James Gunn of Guardians of the Galaxy fame
Both Corenswet and Brosnahan had previously been reported as being major contenders for the role, with multiple outlets stating that they underwent in-person screen tests before being cast.Corenswet previously starred in the TV shows Hollywood, The Politician and We Own This City. He also had a memorable supporting role in this year's acclaimed horror movie Pearl.
Meanwhile, Brosnahan is best known for starring in the hit Prime Video comedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. She also appeared in the series House of Cards and Manhattan, as well as the films I'm Your Woman, Patriot's Day and The Courier.
