'I cheered them until I was hoarse last night!' revealed Minister Donohoe on Morning Ireland.
Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Paschal Donohoe has revealed that he 'went hoarse' cheering on Ireland against the Netherlands at the Aviva Stadium last night.
"Just giving my personal view on the matter, as someone who is a longstanding soccer fan and loves seeing our team play. He said: "It's not just momentary mistakes against the top teams. We're not in the position we're in because of the small margins against teams that are occupied by players who are playing at the top clubs.
"In isolation, everyone of the disappointing nights we've had in the last three years is kind of understandable, there's some wider context you can point to to say 'calm down, relax, we're potentially going in the right direction'.
