Karun Chandhok has become a popular figure across Sky’s Formula 1 coverage since being unveiled as an analyst for the channel and his career was given a jump start by Ferrari icon Michael Schumacher
Michael Schumacher welcomed Karun Chandhok to Formula One with a message of good luck, the Sky Sports pundit has revealed.
“He then spent five minutes just chatting, asking about my background and where I was from and wished me luck for my season. He didn't need to do that. Chandhok in the meantime was forced to retire after sustaining a damaged front wing just a clutch of laps into the race. He would go onto the finish 22nd in the drivers’ standings ahead of a switch to Lotus.
