Met Eireann pinpointed what part of the country will be the hottest this week as there will finally be a couple of days without heavy downpours or torrential rain
The weather is finally looking up this week as Met Eireann have predicted that this week is set to be mainly dry.
However, save for the odd shower in parts of the country this week, Met Eireann predict "a good deal of dry weather" as temperatures will rise to 22 degrees. It seems we're finally having a glimpse of the summer at the eleventh hour!Tuesday 22nd August Today will bring bright or sunny spells and scattered showers. There will be good dry intervals also, especially in southern counties. Highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees, warmest in the southeast.
Thursday 24th August Thursday will bring a good deal of dry weather with sunny spells and some showers, these mainly in Connacht and Ulster. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees, warmest in the southeast with light or moderate westerly winds. Thursday night will be dry apart from a few isolated showers.
