The blast of cold weather will take a quick break later this week as temperatures will take a mild turn for a few days - but they will plunge again as we come into next week
Met Eireann have confirmed that temperatures will rise again after they have plunged over the last few days.However, there will be a brief spell of milder temperatures again later this week as Met Eireann predicts highs of 17 degrees.This will happen towards the end of this week, although they forecast that things will turn cool again into next week, writing: "Staying unsettled with further spells of rain and showers. Turning cooler too.
Tuesday 17th October It will become wet and breezy tomorrow. Rain will spread across Munster, south Leinster and parts of south Connacht in the morning, before extending across the rest of the country during the afternoon. The rain will be heavy and thundery at times, so localised flooding is possible, particularly in the southwest. Highest temperatures of 9 to 14 degrees. It will continue wet and breezy on Tuesday night, with rain moving northwards, followed by scattered showers.
