They warned of two hazards meteireann irishweather irelandweather
Met Eireann has issued a serious warning as Ireland is to receive its hottest temperatures this year. There are two concerns people should be aware of as the weeks progress.Sharing their monthly forecast, the national forecaster explained that there are potential hazards associated with these scorching temperatures.
From Monday, 12 June to Sunday, 18 June, the high pressure looks to weaken however there is still a signal for above average temperatures. They continued: “This will add to the drought risk and the fire potential although the high temperature potential look to be a little lower on average.” The forecaster added: “There is the potential in this scenario for some thundery falls of rain with the flow predominantly from the southeast with the added potential for some surface water flooding exacerbated by any heavier falls of rain on the dry pan generated from the drought conditions.”
