Sinead Kennedy is due to go on maternity leave a month after Today returns to RTÉ after its summer hiatus - Maura will front the show alongside Daithi O'Sé for five days a week until at least Christmas
Maura Derrane is set for a full-time return to RTÉ's Today when Sinead Kennedy goes on maternity leave this autumn.

I feel like the show is my second baby so it will be nice to keep the continuity going up until Christmas, which is a very busy time for us.
"Spending summers on the island is something that will be ingrained in Cal’s heart for life and he loves being around his cousin, Ethan. "I was a quiet child in school, we were reared to be quiet. My grandmother lived with us until she passed away when I was about 12, but I remember she’d warn us to be careful about things like going out in the rain or getting lost.
