'I want to maximise my time'
At the age of 65, she retired from RTÉ and moved into a new stage of her life.
Now she reflects on the “time behind her” as well as making sure that she “maximises” the rest of her life.“I think it has started to hit home with me is that it’s important to be physically strong and to be aware of self-care,” she tells VIP Magazine. “I’m at an age where I have a hell of a lot more time behind me than in front of me and therefore I want to maximise that. I want to be mobile and I want to be well.
“I have four grandchildren now and the very thought of at some point not being part of their lives because I’m no longer on this earth, kills me! I know it will happen but I want to make the most of the time that I have.”Related Stories
