The victim, in his 30s, was knifed more than 10 times at a house in Castleknock in west Dublin in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A man who was repeatedly stabbed by someone known to him managed to make his way to a neighbouring house to raise the alarm.
And it is understood that the man, who is thought to be from north Africa, was able to speak to medics in the hospital last night.“The victim suffered a serious amount of injuries and is incredibly lucky to be alive. Another source said: “The priority of the investigation for the gardai is tracking down the suspect in the case.”
