A Garda investigation into the circumstances surrounding the assault is in progress
A man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries on Wednesday evening following a suspected assault.
The man, in his 30s, suffered the assault on Ninth Lock Road in Clondalkin around 6pm and was taken to Tallaght Hospital for treatment for his injuries. A Garda statement said: "Gardaí are investigating an assault that occurred on Ninth Lock Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 shortly before 6:00pm on Wednesday 2 August 2023."A male in his 30s was transferred to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries."The Ninth Lock Road was the location of a separate major incident yesterday as a woman was struck by a car while riding a scooter, causing her to collide with another vehicle which was stationary at the time.
A Garda spokesperson gave an update on the accident: "Gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision on Ninth Lock Road in Clondalkin, Dublin 22 yesterday afternoon. "A female, travelling on a scooter, was injured after colliding with a car and subsequently hitting a second, stationary vehicle.
