Gardaí are investigating the fatal assault of a woman in her 30s in Wilton, Co Cork.
The body was discovered after emergency services were called to a home at approximately 10.10pm on Friday, July 14A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at a Garda station in Cork City centre, where he can be held for up to 24 hours.Investigations are ongoing, and the woman’s body remains at the scene for a technical examination this morning.A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed to the investigation.
