Storm Babet battered Cork and Waterford yesterday with orange rain warnings in place for both counties- but no one could have foreseen the damage that this has caused
In the aftermath of Storm Babet, clean up operations remain in place today for both Waterford and Cork, with areas of East Cork and West Waterford worst affected.

It was blocked for a period of time when the sea wall which runs adjacent the road approaching Youghal bridge, was blown out by the surface waters there yesterday morning, which led to significant, very, very significant delays there”.
While Ireland recuperates from Storm Babet, many question if the increase in powerful storms hitting the island will become commonplace.
