A new study has found that the €220 per week paid to Ukrainian refugees without employment in Ireland is the highest of any EU country
Coalition party leaders discussed cutting social welfare benefits for Ukrainian refugees to bring them into line with other EU states over the summer, the Business Post has learned.
The cabinet sub-committee on Ukraine which includes Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Tánaiste Micheál Martin, and Eamon Ryan, the Minister for Environment, discussed the issue in July without coming to a decision on the future of the €220 per week welfare payments for Ukrainian refugees.
