It is estimated that there were up to around 200 protestors on Kildare Street today.

This evening, some TDs were essentially stuck in Leinster House as some protestors blocked the back gate at Merrion Street for a time.Earlier, journalists walking in and out of the building were also subjected to insults from some sections of the crowd while walking past.

Press conferences held by the opposition had to be moved from the plinth outside Leinster House as the location is too close to the front gates. TV stations that usually broadcast from inside the front gates have also had to be moved for the day. A Garda spokesperson confirmed to the Irish Mirror that two people were arrested outside Leinster House on Wednesday.
