A man has been arrested in connection to the murder of Tupac Shakur that occurred in 1996 in Las Vegas, three months after a house was raided in Nevada in connection to the case
The case has been unsolved since it occurred 27 years ago, but this might be the big break people have been waiting for. Duane "Keffe D" Davis was arrested on Friday morning, though the exact thing he was charged with remains unclear.
On September 7, 1996, Tupac was in a BMW car that was driven by Marion "Suge" Knight, the founder of Death Row Records which was the record label Tupac was signed to. While at a red light near the Las Vegas strip, a white Cadillac drove up next to the car and fired into the BMW. Davis' arrest comes two months after the Las Vegas police raided his wife's home in nearby Henderson, Nevada. On July 17, the raid was conducted and documents stated that items "concerning the murder of Tupac Shakur" were being searched for.
Davis was facing life in prison on drug charges and was cooperating with the police. "They promised they would shred the indictment and stop the grand jury if I helped them out," he wrote.
